Established in 2007, Aurum Holdings Ltd is the largest luxury jewellers and timepieces specialist in the UK boasting 140 collective stores including Goldsmiths, Mappin & Webb, Watches of Switzerland, The Watch Shop, The Watch Hut, The Watch Lab and Mays. Aurum is also the largest distributor in the world of luxury brands including Omega, TAG Heuer and Gucci.

Due to the various brands and diversities within Aurum, their main challenge was to ensure consistency across their HR and payroll operations to cover their 2,500 employees in the UK and US. Aurum were searching for a payroll partner with an international reach to benefit their growing business and ensure legislative compliance.

The onboarding and implementation process went well. We had a very good project manager who guided me through it. The people that I worked with both, central HR and WFM at SD Worx, were excellent.

SD Worx worked with Aurum to implement a Payroll Solution that met their needs and solved their challenge of ensuring consistency across the Group’s HR and payroll operations in the UK and beyond. As compliance is key, SD Worx continue to support Aurum through the legislation aspect which has been built into the system, this allows Aurum to insert in their own company rules, policies and statutory legislation which eliminates any mistakes from occurring by users of the system.

The breadth of the SD Worx system has provided Aurum with a wide range of useful functionalities such as access to employee and managed self-service, ability for managers to view people’s data, employees’ ability to view own data, talent and performance management, succession planning and easy online reporting, which has replaced paper-based reporting and has had a huge impact on the business.

SD Worx supports our compliance needs through the legislation aspect that is built into the system. The highlights of having the SD Worx system is the breadth of what it can do; we now have visibility of our talent through the business and succession planning. It’s opened so many doors for us as a business.
