Flexible furlough: What does it mean for payroll and HR?

On-Demand Webinar

We know how important it is at the moment to keep up to date on the latest government guidance around furlough. As we’re sure you’re aware, on Friday 12 June HMRC issued new furlough scheme details in readiness for the second part of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS).

This next stage – “flexible furlough” will set out new guidance from 1st July, and employers must be aware of how this will affect them.

As The Payroll People, we’ve got your back.

Our Payroll Guru, Simon Parsons
, has written his interpretation of the new guidance in his latest blog. He also presented a webinar on Wednesday 17th June to help you interpret, communicate and implement the new guidance.

What's included?

Simon Parsons reviewed what these changes mean for payroll and HR, to ensure you’re well prepared. He discussed:

  • Flexible furlough – what does it mean?
  • The definition of usual hours
  • How to claim payments in arrears
  • Statutory payments
  • Furlough and returning to work after SMP
