Over a third of Brits feel they can’t develop new skills in their current jobs

Thirty-five per cent of UK workers believe that employers do not provide them with enough opportunities to develop new skills. Less than half (49.9%) of UK staff indicate they can decide for themselves which training courses they may/can attend. These are the results of research conducted by payroll and HR services provider SD Worx in Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

SD Worx, a leading European HR & payroll services provider, achieved a consolidated turnover of EUR 743.3 million (-3.2% compared to 2019) and a normalised EBITDA of EUR 77.3 million (+15.3% compared to 2019) in 2020. The normalised EBITDA includes investments in digital transformation for an amount of EUR 11.8 million.

UK companies on the fence when it comes to HR outsourcing

Outsourcing is often a popular term across business functions, but research finds that UK companies find themselves in a love/hate relationship with outsourcing in the HR department. The study of 3,000 international companies across 11 countries was conducted by HR and payroll specialist, SD Worx, and found that many UK businesses are now considering whether to manage the majority of HR projects in house following the pandemic.
