Ceridian, one of the UK’s leading HR and payroll services organisations, is delighted to announce the appointment of Nick Laird as chief commercial officer. Nick has a wealth of experience in senior management positions, including a variety of roles in finance, sales and marketing for Ford Motor Company. Nick joins the UK senior leadership team and will report to Doug Sawers, Ceridian UK and Ireland managing director. In his new position, he will be responsible for leading commercial strategy, marketing and Ceridian’s mid market and SME sales teams.
A graduate of Oxford University, where he studied engineering, Nick is also a Sainsbury Management Fellow (SMF), having been awarded sponsorship to undertake an MBA at INSEAD business school in France. Funded by Lord David Sainsbury, the sponsorship scheme aims to develop talented engineers as leaders in UK industry and teaches them the skills they need to succeed in business.
