Employees input their expenses directly into a self-service portal or mobile app, which flags up any anomalies or breaches of policy. Upon submission, the claim is then sent to the approving line manager, who can check the claim and either approve or reject it. The system will also provide managers with reports which show detailed trends of expenses submissions per employee.
