Holiday Pay
Welcome to the SD Worx training on the complex area of UK Holiday Pay Law.
One of the most complex areas of employment law deals with Holiday Entitlement and Holiday Pay. Many employers find the regulations challenging to understand and are surprised to discover that their employer holiday pay schemes may not comply with employment law.
From 1st April 2024, options are introduced to allow employers of empliyees who are irregular or part year workers an new method of entitlement accrual, and also options for Rolled Up Holiday Pay
Holiday Pay Law is governed by the Working Time Regulations and the Employment Rights Act. Case law rulings over the past 15 years have surprised many employers on what constitutes holiday pay, as many former practices that continue to be used are unlawful.
The new options introduced for holidaye years startring from 1st April 2024 bring in protections that cover sickness and statutory parental leave periods for irregular and part year workers.
