P Simon Parsons, MSc FCIPPdip MBCS

I have a master of science (MSc) degree in Payroll Management with the University of Westminster and the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professional (CIPP) of which I am also a fellow (FCIPPdip).

I am also professional member of the BCS (the Chartered Institute for IT) with a background in Systems design and Analysis along with extensive Project Management experience. I currently chair the BCS Payroll Specialist Group.

I am a members of various payroll and employment government related consultations within: HM Revenue and Customer (HMRC), Department for Work and Pension (DWP), and the department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategies (BEIS). A founding member of PIP (Pensions Industry and Payroll) and BIB (BCS IReeN and BASDA).

Simon is also currently the chair of IReeN (the electronic exchange with government user network) being an expert in all things electronic filing. He returned to SD Worx in January 1997 as Chief Analyst and has over 35 years of payroll experience.

He was named individual of the year by the CIPP in 2006, and awarded the Strathearn Lifetime Achievement award in 2012 by Payroll and Benefits Magazine. He has been named as one of the Payroll Top 50 which changed to the Reward 300 every year since the awards were introduced back in 2009.
