SD Worx's enterprise sales team is responsible for the growth and development of the company's larger prospective clients.

"My role is to develop and lead the enterprise team to provide the best sales experience in the industry. Demonstrating knowledge, experience and innovation to support organisations in developing business cases and solutions that support their strategic objectives."

Background

Amanda joined SD Worx in 2001, prior to that she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in a number of sales and account management roles. During the last ten years, she has been key to the development of SD Worx's sales strategy and outsourcing proposition. Having been the sales lead on securing two of the company's most instrumental HRO clients, she moved into the position at the beginning of 2011.

She holds a BSc Hons degree in Business Studies from Salford University.

Amanda Hawley
Head of Enterprise Sales

Andrew joined SD Worx in 2003 and spent his first five years as both a Consultancy Manager and a Commercial Services manager, working with clients of all sizes to help design and implement complex services across HR, Payroll, Flexible Benefits and Self Service.

Andrew moved onto the Marks & Spencer programme at the start of 2009, working extensively with the client to manage the solution design, testing and implementation activity for our successful roll-out of Time & Attendance and Payroll to over 500 stores. As Client Director, Andrew was also accountable for the programme and on-going service we deliver from both the UK and Mauritius for M&S, together with the design and roll-out of new solutions and services into the client.

Andrew now leads the UK and Ireland implementation team, covering programme and project managers, PMO, implementation consultants, developers, testers and release, transition and operational readiness managers in the UK, Ireland and Mauritius. The team delivers service and software programmes and projects across all SD Worx UK/Ireland clients whether large enterprise clients or SME and corporate clients.

Andrew continues to focus on ensuring we understand the voice of our customers and can represent our client businesses and requirements within all our solutions and services.

Colleague of the Month – November 2016

Arvind is our winner of Colleague of the Month for November 2016 and he is the first Mauritius colleague to win Colleague of the Month. Arvind received a fantastic nomination from Ashvin Pudaruth, Director of Services, MAU.

Ashvin quoted "Arvind is one of the most driven and talented people I have ever worked with, his optimistic character and positive drive in everything he does is an example to us all."" He also highlighted, "The analytical skills Arvind brings to our NPS Core Team we value extremely highly, he has a positive impact on all teams and individuals he works with, Operations, Sales and Marketing to name just a few".

Areas of responsibility 

Ashleigh is responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of engagement and communication strategies which support high engagement, Net Promoter Score (NPS) and brand value.

The key aspect of her role is to support key projects and initiatives to drive positive change and enhance both colleague and customer experience.

Background

Prior to her current role, Ashleigh has taken on a number of positions at SD Worx in various departments including marketing, sales, communications and solutions. Ashleigh also oversees the design and rollout of most colleague programmes at SD Worx.

Areas of Responsibility

Aylsa oversees the management of SD Worx’s finance function across UK and Ireland. She leverages experience in finance to complement a long-term managed service portfolio to enable growth in the HR technology market.

Background

Aylsa has over 13 years of experience in financial management with a strong commercial acumen and an ability to enhance financial capability. Prior to joining the company in 2016, Aylsa took on a number of financial management positions at Pepsico after gaining accreditation in Accounting and Finance from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Areas of responsibility

Charlie heads up SD Worx’s Technology Division which focuses on developing the overall technology strategy, driving innovation and taking ownership of the company’s architecture. Charlie also oversees the security for SD Worx ensuring the constant safeguarding of systems and deals with customer interaction on security related matters.

Background 

Charlie Joined the company in 2007 and has held a number of senior roles within the Technology division working in Development, Architecture and IT. During this time he has played a senior role in many of SD Worx's most complex large customer implementations alongside leading the technical aspects of our products continual evolution.

Behind the scenes, under immense time pressure, the team kept their cool and planned to the finest detail a coordinated, clear and professional announcement.

Colleague of the Month – March 2017

Craig is our winner of Colleague of the Month for March 2017. 

Craig always shows passion and enthusiasm in everything he does. In proposals and opportunities, he thinks outside the box always trying to challenge himself to think of new ideas. 

Not only doing his day job as a solutions consultant, being an expert in payroll and all things solutions, Craig has been instrumental in  supporting team members through their training.

Team of the quarter - 2017, Q1

The Customer Team, lead by Pete Howley, have been awarded Team of the Quarter for Q1 2017.

The team were nominated for keeping up their superb momentum from 2016, bringing pace, agility and focus on the customer experience into the new year.

Collaborating and working alongside our internal teams is fundamental to our approach in further improving the customer experience. 

The Customer Team are heavily invested in our new customer portal, Trustworx, and are playing a leading role in embedding this into the SD Worx family. Linking in Operational teams initially and then customers, this is a great platform for our future.

Since joining in 2008 with no previous payroll experience, Dave has had three promotions in five years. He went from Trainee Payroll Executive to Payroll Executive within three months, Payroll Executive to Senior Payroll Executive within one year and in 2013 he was promoted to Operations Team Manager.

Dave won the 2014 Pay & Benefits Newcomer of the Year Award, and was shortlisted for Individual of the Year at the 2013 CIPP Payroll & Pensions Excellence awards.

Areas of responsibility

David is responsible for directing the development of the strategic alliance channel in SD Worx's international business, including partner delivery and governance, partner solutions and leading the establishment of new partner programmes with BPO, accountancy, audit and payment organisations. In addition, he runs the international operations and customer relationship teams.

Background

Prior to SD Worx, David held senior product and partnership positions in U.S Bank Corp and First Data International, having started his career at RBS Group. A graduate of Aberdeen Business School and the London Metropolitan University, David also holds an MBA from Warwick Business School where he specialised in corporate governance.

Team of the quarter - 2017, Q2

Congratulations to our DIKA UK Rollout Team who are our Team of the Quarter winners for Q2 2017.

The DIKA project impacted all colleagues and this work stream has been one of the largest, most complex and most impactful IT change projects in the history of SD Worx UK.

The team was made up of both UK & Belgian SD Worx IT Team colleagues with the project migrating every piece of IT equipment, from desktops and laptops to our network and telephony systems and servers.

Each time the team migrated a location they learned lessons and focused on giving our colleagues the best transition into DIKA and the best new IT service possible. The NPS scores and comments from the colleagues across the UK have been extremely positive.

This is a great nomination showing smart cooperation between both the UK & Belgian teams and a true passion to deliver on a huge project for the business.

DIKA UK Roll-out Team

Doug is part of the Executive Committee at SD Worx, one of the largest HR & Payroll providers in Europe with presence in 9 countries, over 62,500 customers and 3,500 employees. Doug and the Senior Leadership team are responsible for the SD Worx UK & Ireland business. The main is to deliver innovative human capital management software and provide exceptional customer service to the UK and International markets. Doug is particularly passionate about engaging colleagues to ensure that at SD Worx we build a company with true global solutions to address our customers' needs, build deep domain knowledge and regional expertise to accelerate growth across Europe.

Background

Doug holds B.Acc. and C.A. qualifications, and hails from Glasgow. Having joined Ceridian in 2005 which was acquired by SD Worx Group in June 2016, Doug's career history includes the roles: Group MD Operations at lastminute.com, Deputy CEO at holiday autos, and MD of Budget in the UK. He describes himself as an "escaped financial director who enjoys discussing how the human capital asset has a greater value than the net book version."

Managing Director

Areas of responsibility

As Head of Human Resources, Fiona is responsible for all HR activity within SD Worx UK and Ireland providing strategic direction and ownership in line with business needs, legislative requirements and best practice with a strong focus on delivering solutions which directly benefit our customers. Fiona coaches and mentors senior managers, while ensuring the HR team are aligned and utilised to deliver the HR strategy.

Background

Fiona has held various senior Operations and HR roles prior to joining SD Worx in 2010. Fiona has a MSc in Human Resource Management and is also an active Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) . Most recently, Fiona was invited to join the board of Directors at Kilbryde Hospice in South Lanarkshire as HR Director, responsible for the HR strategy. The hospice is going through a significant period of change as they apply for funding to provide an in-patient facility to support patients with life limiting illness and their carers.

Areas of Responsibility

Graeme is part of the Senior Executive Team at SD Worx UK & Ireland and is responsible for delivering large IT change programmes for existing clients.

Background

Graeme joined SD Worx in 2013 as a Software Development Practice Manager after undertaking many senior positions in software development throughout his career. Prior to this, he graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Strathclyde. Graeme also holds APM Qualifications from the The Association for Project Management.

Iain joined SD Worx in 2009 and after initially running the IT Outsourcing Programme was moved to head the large Marks & Spencer HR Transformation Programme. Iain has extensive experience in Senior IT roles with a number of companies primarily in the Telecommunications and Retail sectors. His focus now is to build on the strong foundation we have established within M&S and deliver first class solutions and customer service that meets the business needs of all of our customers.

Iain McGregor
Chief Operating Officer

Having worked in a Payroll environment his entire career of almost 40 years, Ian has experienced many areas of the profession. He has worked for SD Worx throughout his career commencing as a junior and progressing to UK Operations Director, overseeing the organisation's Glasgow location. From the start of 2014 Ian moved into a new role as the Director of Learning & Development. This role will complement many activities he has undertaken outside of SD Worx over many years.

Ian is a huge supporter of continual professional development, having successfully studied for both the IPP Diploma and the M.Sc. in Payroll Management. He continues to support learning, encouraging people to study and supporting students learning, being a tutor of the CIPP Foundation Degree for the last 22 years. He is currently a Board Trustee of the CIPP and was the Chairperson of that body from 2011 to 2013.

To show his commitment to on-going learning he completed a Certificate in Managing Global Payroll in 2105 and Graduated as a Fellow of Higher Education though Derby University in 2016 qualifying him to lecture at University, he currently lectures on the M.Sc. programme and is hoping to commence teaching the BA shortly.

Areas of responsibility

Jacqueline joined SD Worx as Chief Legal Officer in July 2008. Her experience is pivotal in SD Worx's future expansion plans, and plays a key role in the organisation's international ambitions.

Jacqueline is also Chair of SD Worx's registered charity, the PayBack Foundation, and the UK Founder and Chair of the organisation's Women's Network.

Background

Jacqueline joined from Xerox UK where she spent the last seven years as company secretary and board legal representative. She has significant experience in major contractual negotiations and also deals with SOX compliance.

Areas of responsibility

As Chief Commercial Officer, Jeremy is responsible for developing all aspects of Sales and Marketing within SD Worx, including driving leadership and development activities throughout the business. In addition, he helps SD Worx build a greater HR capability within the company's growing client proposition and acts as a key client contact point.

Background

Jeremy joined the organisation in 2003. Prior to becoming Chief Commercial Officer, Jeremy spearheaded our HR Outsourcing offering. Before joining SD Worx, he held a number of management roles with BUPA, PPC International, Hambro Bank and Guardian Royal Exchange. Jeremy has worked in Sales and Sales Management for a large part of his career and alongside creating a world-class HR function he also aims to develop SD Worx's position as one of the UK€s leading providers of HR software and services.

Although new to the role, Kim has already built a strong relationship with this customer. She has moved deadlines, worked extra hours, put in additional checks, supported, listened and on occasion challenged the customer in order to provide an accurate and timely payroll each month.

They have gone above and beyond to help our colleagues build more confidence within their roles, increase product training, ensure effective on boarding for new starters and re-introduce manager training.

Leon joined SD Worx from the FTSE top 30 company, Centrica PLC and has held Senior Counsel roles at Ascential PLC (formerly EMAP); Affinion International and JDA Software. He has considerable experience drafting and negotiating complex, high value commercial deals.

Melissa joined SD Worx in 2010 having most recently been Professional Services Director, EMEA for a global Software-as-a-Service company specialising in Talent Management solutions. Prior to that Melissa held a variety of project management and consultancy positions in the HR technology sector working with blue chip domestic and international organisations. Melissa was named in the Payroll World Top 50* most influential people in the payroll industry.

Nick is a member of the Senior Executive team and is responsible for the performance and colleague engagement in our Glasgow office, our largest location in the UK. He has line responsibility for our International Support Service, internal and external customer facing IT services, our UK Support service and managed services to some of our large corporate customers.

Nick is committed to providing a high performing services that is responsive to our customers' needs.

Background

Nick joined SD Worx (formerly Ceridian) in 1997 after seven years with Durham County Council in Finance and IT positions. He has worked in various roles, including software development management, chief technical architect, managing the IT aspect of a number of large customer implementations and programmes, as well as managing a change programme in our Global Payroll business. Nick has held a number of leadership roles across our business covering our operational managed services and most recently our IT and Support Services.

Nick is married with two children, he is originally from Durham but has settled in Glasgow after working in Manchester, London and Mauritius.

Paula Gillibrand

Peter joined SD Worx in April 2008 and is responsible for customer satisfaction and future development.

Peter works cross-functionally across all teams, to understand and improve our customer relationships. By understanding our customers' businesses, it provides a foundation to develop opportunities for change, with a clear business case and the confidence to take advantage of the latest HR & payroll cloud technology.

Peter works with customers and colleagues to measure and improve the company's customer relationships. Part of this measurement is through Net Promoter Score, colleague surveys, and transactional feedback.

Prior to joining SD Worx, Peter held a variety of positions including operations, sales and commercial with Hays BPO, a specialist subsidiary of Hays Plc, delivering onshore and offshore business processes for blue chip organisations. Peter holds a BA (honours) from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Colleague of the Month – December 2016

Phil is our winner of Colleague of the Month for December 2016. Phil received a fantastic nominations from his manager, Paul Thickett.

We said at the start of 2016 that we would offer flexi time to some colleagues as a pilot to begin with and then if tis was successful we would roll this out across the business to certain teams. It is fair to say that without Phil's drive and determination, the Flexitime model that has been so successful in our Manchester Operation would not have been delivered.

Whilst taking this task on board, Phil has still managed to look after his daily role of managing customers' payroll services too, to a high standard.

Rick Norgate is SD Worx UK’s Head of UK Solutions. Rick was previously responsible for leading the Product team in the development of Ceridian’s SaaS HR products. As the driving force behind Ceridian’s move in the true SaaS space Rick designed a new approach that meant a typical 30 day customer implementation for HR and Payroll could be done in less than 5 days. Following this Rick was selected to head up SD Worx Corporate Sales & Solutions teams. These teams are responsible for shaping the solutions and services that customers buy. In this role Rick brings creativity & innovation with a genuine passion to help clients get solutions that address their challenges.

In addition to this Rick also provides leadership and strategic direction for SD Worx commercial, marketing and implementation approaches.

Background

Rick has spent the last 18 years developing, designing and implementing SaaS & Cloud solutions for a variety of industries. Ricks entire design ethos revolves around the concept of creative & intuitive design with a focus on a world class end user experience.

He has been a pleasure to work with, always putting customers first and going the extra mile to meet customer needs. He will always assess the situation and prioritise accordingly. He is always honest with the customer and he will address all problem areas so that the incident does not recur in the future.

Robert Wright
Corporate Service Delivery Manager

Simon has been a major contributor to Ceridian's payroll expertise since 1984. Besides being influential in the development of Ceridian's payroll services, he is a major presence on a number of HMRC consultative groups and committees.

A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and one of the original Masters of Science in Payroll Management, Simon is a regular author and speaker on payroll matters. He is also Chair of IReeN, the electronic exchange with government user network, and was appointed chair of the British Computer Society (BCS) Payroll Group in September 2013.

Simon has won a number of awards in the past including the Strathearn Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 2012 Pay & Benefits Awards, the Payroll Alliance Award for Advancing the Payroll Profession in 2010 and IPP Person of the Year in 2006.

Sophia is our winner of Colleague of the Month for October 2016. Sophia received 2 fantastic nominations from colleagues. Sophia has done a fantastic job increasing our website metrics over the last 12 months but most recently she has worked extremely hard to deliver a new professional SD Worx website that further reflects our new SD Worx family.

Sophia has engaged with colleagues & suppliers in good time to ensure that the website went live on time. Sophia demonstrated real agility in the way she has worked, and has done so tirelessly for the last few months.

Sophia's manager, Kat Wheatley was extremely proud of Sophia and highlighted "What really stands out for me, is the time Sophia took to engage colleagues across the business to get their feedback and where possible build this into the project".

As Head of Customer Operations, Steve is responsible for all four of the UK's operational managed payroll service centres - Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and Limerick. Steve joined SD Worx in 2000, and has a breadth of experience within the payroll and HR services arena. Steve is heavily focused on driving efficiency within the operations business and providing our customers with an enhanced more modern experience.

As Chief Sales Officer Stuart has a passion for maximising value to clients from SD Worx's technology and services. An MBA qualified Chartered Engineer, Stuart delivered the restructuring of SD Worx UK operational business during his early years as Shared Services Director in Glasgow and is an advisor to the Scottish government on shared services and outsourcing. Stuart joined SD Worx after an earlier career in sales, solutions, consulting and project management with BAA and IBM.

Colleague of the Month – July 2016

Sufian is our colleague of the month for July 2016, nominated by Operations Team Manager, Jane Clark. Jane could not thank Sufian enough for all the hard work and support he has provided to one of our customers. Sufian managed to resolve their source issue and reduce the number of the open tickets quickly, resulting in customer satisfaction.

Since starting in 2011, Sufian has always gone the extra mile to ensure any issues are fixed and resolved quickly and efficiently.

Sufian's manager, Sharon, was very pleased and stated, "Sufian is an integral part of the Support Desk that we could not do without. He has an extensive knowledge of the Source product and is a great team player."

He will always give 110% on everything that he does and he is also happy to help mentor and train the new members of the team to increase their knowledge of the legacy product. Congratulations, Sufian!

As Head of Product Development, Terry is responsible for the development, maintenance and quality assurance of our software products. Working closely with our Product Management group, Terry and his team of software engineering professionals, based in the UK and Mauritius, bring to life the requirements, ideas and innovations to create our award-winning products.

Background

Terry’s entire career has been spent in IT, starting off with 11 years at British Telecom International where he was trained initially as an electronics engineer and transitioned into software engineering. Terry joined SDWorx in 1988 and spent a number of years project managing large software development and implementation projects for NatWest Bank. Since 2001 Terry has held various senior IT leadership positions within our business and led the R&D efforts that created the majority of our current product portfolio and cloud based services.
